How to visualise and interpret a story through images 

 Narrative Art tells a story. It uses the power of the visual image to ignite imaginations, evoke emotions and capture characteristics and aspirations.  In this workshop we will take you on your own journey to help discover the art of storytelling through images.

Tools, tips & Techniques 

Incorporating collage images into your artwork can be very tricky.  We show you how to use this technique effectively and how to subtly introduce it into your artwork and blending it in with the background.

In this workshop we will show you different styles on how to manipulate water based paints to get different outcomes.  The biggest challenge with acrylic paints is the quick drying time so learning to work with them is a skill on it own.

What Is Story Art?

This is Annabelle.  She is kind hearted and loves animals.  Her favourite place to play is outside surrounded by butterflies.  She loves stories and often finds herself day dreaming about being a princess. 

Story art is a fun way to visually interpret the character of someone using photos, cut outs and a variety of craft techniques.
